C. What Makes Us Unique? Rosemary is certified to administer the General Aptitude Test Battery (GATB), a Government of Canada test that measures aptitudes related to work situations and vocational settings. As well, a vocational interest pattern questionnaire (The Canadian Work Preference Inventory) is administered to locate individual interest patterns. The information from both the GATB and the interest inventory is then entered into the Profile Professional Software Program that contains and indexes the National Occupation Handbook. The result is the selection of realistic occupations that fit the client’s aptitude and interest profile. This can enable clients to find the perfect occupation for their talents and interests. It can also help guide a client’s selection of appropriate training and education. The career assessment procedure allows answers to the questions: What can I do? What occupation should I choose? Is my choice of occupation or training realistic? Cathy has years of experience in guiding families of addicted persons as well as the person themselves through the readjustments and personal growth required for reaching wellness and recovery. Her Family Program Guides are in use in a number of treatment centers in Canada. |
